This is exactly why a western country will never be useful inside Afghanistan--temperament. We have the wrong temperament, too impatient to stay the course for the time it takes to achieve success. We did the very same thing in Vietnam when we would lose dozens of our military personnel to win a hill only to give it right back!
This is why we do not belong there, and why it will be all for naught!
